The Vibe Collective is dedicated to laying down the tight grooves and inventive improvisations that typified the Afro-Cuban music scenes of New York and San Francisco in the 1950’s, 60’s and beyond. The diverse group of musicians brings together backgrounds ranging from mambo, rumba, samba, calypso, timba, jazz, and afro-beat to the works of Cal Tjader, Miles Davis, Horace Silver, Tito Puente, Mongo Santamaria and more.
