Job Title: Organist/Choir Director

Job Description: Are you creative and passionate about music and ready to use your gifts part-time in a church? Christ Episcopal Church seeks an enthusiastic, friendly, and dedicated part-time Organist with a vibrant faith, strong communication skills, and emotional intelligence to guide our choir and lead joyful worship.
Responsibilities include building a spirit-filled team relationship with staff, clergy, laity, and the choir that promotes growth and vitality. Create a welcoming, nurturing environment within the choir and congregation. Recruit, train, and educate choir members. Work with the Rector to select and direct music for Sunday traditional worship and major Feast Days. Rehearse weekly (Saturdays, 11:00 am–12:30 pm) and as needed for special services. Lead the adult choir and the Children/Youth Choir. Arrange for soloists, accompanists, or instrumentalists as needed. Maintain the music library and keep the music room organized.
